Dr. med. Constantin Blanke-Roeser is a Research Assistant at the Center for Transnational IP, Media and Technology Law and Policy.

He studied law at Bucerius Law School and Stellenbosch University, South Africa, and passed the First German State Examination in 2013. Furthermore, he studied medicine at the University of Hamburg and the Universidade Federal do Ceará (Fortaleza, Brazil). He holds a doctoral degree in medicine (Dr. med.) from the University of Hamburg. Blanke-Roeser is writing a Ph.D. thesis on European patent law at the Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2016, he was a visiting scholar at Columbia University (New York, USA). Currently, he is a trainee lawyer at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg. His research is focused on IP law, especially patent and copyright law, and on medical law. Blanke-Roeser joined the Center in 2013.
